Woodford Reserve Named "Official Bourbon" of Kentucky Fish Company and Smokery Bourbon Used in Unique Smoking Process

October 17,2002, Louisville, Ky- Brown- Forman Corporation and Shuckman's Fish Co. and Smokery announced today that Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Bourbon has been named the "Official Bourbon" of Shuckman's.

"This is a wonderful marriage of two great Kentucky products," said Wayne Rose, Woodford Reserve National Brand Manager. " Kentucky's world famous whiskey and the worlds best smoked fish together create one great product-Shuckman's smoked fish."

Woodford Reserve is quickly becoming known in gourmet cooking circles as not only good to drink but also a great spirit to cook with. Among those who have discovered the bourbon's outstanding cooking qualities are celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck,Jim Gerhardt of The Oakroom in Louisville, and Gale Gand and Rick Tramonto of Tru in Chicago.

Woodford Reserve is used in a curing process prior to smoking. This process is a unique formula specific to Shuckman's. The smoking process incorporates the wood staves from barrels used to age Woodford Reserve. This process is used with the following products:
