Garrard County High School is working with the Garrard County Agricultural Development Council and the Governor's Office to develop a state of the art horticulture educational program. Support from the Agricultural Development Fund, matched by support from the Garrard County school district, enabled the High School to construct an all-glass green house, utilizing the latest climate-control technology and providing a first-class learning environment for young farmers. Thus far, the Agricultural Development Board, chaired by Governor Patton, has provided over $610,661 to construct 16 greenhouses in 14 counties across the Commonwealth. The Agricultural Development Board has shown through its actions that it places a high priority on investment in the youth of Kentucky Agriculture.
