Cattle Genetics Improvement Cost-Share Program

On February 16, 2001, the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board approved the model Cattle Genetics Improvement cost-share program for local implementation, utilizing county Agricultural Development Funds. The program provides for up to $1,250 in cost-share assistance, matched by the applicant on a 50/50 basis, for bull/semen purchase or bull lease. This program requires the submission of an Agricultural Development Fund Model Program Application and County Council Prioritization Sheet (22 KB, .doc) by an eligible Program Administrator.

The "Beef Sire Selection Recommendations" is a dynamic document. Periodically, this document is updated to reflect the most current EPD standards or to add new breeds.
