Hay, Straw, & Commodity Storage Program

On November 15, 2002, the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board approved a model cost-share program for storage of hay, straw, and grains/commodities for local implementation utilizing county agricultural development funds. The program provides for up to $5,000 in cost-share assistance, matched by the applicant on a 50/50 basis. This program requires the submission of the Model Program Application by an eligible program adminstrator, as well the county council prioritization form (22 KB, .pdf) submitted with all applications for county agricultural development funds.

Sample Evaluation Sheet:

Since the Hay, Straw, & Commodity Program is not a first-come-first-served program, a sample criteria/evaluation sheet for administrative use is available as an Adobe Portable Document File (.pdf) or a Microsoft Word (.DOC) file. Both documents are set up so that administrators can save the file and edit it on their own computers.
