FEMA has announced that $33.7 million in equipment and training awards for first responders is available. Eligible applicants include law enforcement agencies, fire, and other emergency responders who demonstrate that the equipment will be used to improve their ability and capacity to respond to a major critical incident or work with other first responders. Funding is $100,000 over two years; not to exceed $50,000 per year. Projects must be completed within a two year period.
